Event: Dafydd Mann and the Elves

Dafydd Mann, from the recent television series ‘Autistic Superstars’ presents a Christmas music event “Dafydd Mann and the Elves” in aid of the charity ‘Milele’. The event will be held at Sapcote working men’s club on the 8th of December at 7 pm and will be a night of music through the ages performed live for this fantastic cause.

If you're free on the 8th of December it would be great if you could come along to hear some great music and help raise some funds for Milele!

Party by the Beach

Students from the University of Sussex have been working really hard for the last few months to plan the first event of 2010, 'Party by the Beach'. The event is being held at Concorde 2, a large music venue on the picturesque Brighton coastline. We are lucky enough to have 5 fantastic bands playing and the event is set to be a great night.

The tickets are £5 each with a student buy one get one free offer if purchased from the box office in Falmer House, University of Sussex. They are also being sold on the Concorde 2 website.

For more information take a look at the Concorde 2 website. Or join our facebook event 'Party By The Beach Fundraiser'

Hopefully we will see you there!

Launch Ball

Friday the 20th March was a big day! Our launch ball was held at the Sketchley Grange Hotel and was a huge success. There were 59 people in attendance whose generosity has meant the event has now raised a grand total of £2254! This amazing figure just shows how generous and helpful all those in attendance were and how supportive everyone was on the night. The Milele launch ball room

A massive thank-you goes to everyone who attended and donated in many different ways, as well as all those who donated auction items, specifically Rebecca Dawe Photography, PBO Tickets, ‘Fun on the Run’ Childrens’ Entertainment, Flash Event Photography, David Lloyds Leicester, Constance Woods Beauty Salon, Narborough Hall and Hinckley and Bosworth Youth Council. Thank-you to Lisa Mitchell who entertained us with her singing, Sean Curtis the table magician and RJC discos; all of whom did a fabulous job for a largely reduced cost, enabling more of the profits to be allocated to Milele itself.

We’d like to say a HUGE thank you to Malcolm for being our auctioneer, he was fantastic and managed to help us raise just over £1000 on the auction alone! He also made the auction one of the most entertaining parts of the evening, somehow managing to sell a ham sandwich for £10!

Last, but by no means least thank-you, thank-you, and thank-you some more to Josh, Millie, Emily, Amy MJ and Dan for helping me and Rich on the night. We genuinely could not have got through such a busy evening without you!

£2,254! That is amazing. It will really make a phenomenal difference, and will allow us to take on some children onto the sponsorship programme in September, which is so exciting!! Thanks again everyone!!
